Academic Job Search Series: Writing your Teaching Statement
- Organizer: CATLR
- Venue: Asynchronous Online Workshop
Teaching statements can be used for many purposes, from reflecting on your teaching practice, to applying for faculty positions, to creating materials for the faculty promotion, renewal, and tenure processes. In this self-paced online workshop offered by the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning through Research (CATLR) you will learn about the common characteristics of teaching statements and analyze sample statements written by a variety of educators from different disciplines. By engaging in the activities and conversations prompted in the workshop modules, you will ultimately create a working draft of your own teaching statement.
