CATLR Workshop: Writing Feedback for Multilingual Learners

What are the best practices for providing writing feedback to individuals whose first or strongest language is not English? Research on language acquisition shows that the process of learning to write in another language is gradual and reinforced over time in multiple learning environments. In this interactive workshop (jointly presented by CATLR, Global Student Success, and the Writing Program), you will be invited to reimagine writing feedback from the learner’s perspective. Together with other participants, you will examine the research in written corrective feedback and explore practical strategies that support multilingual learners. Lunch will be provided.

Recommended for: Northeastern University educators who support learners' development as writers.
