DESCRIPTION:Registration is open for the Fall 2023 offering of the LEADERs Leading Self and Others course.  Are you interested in learning more about non-academic career paths and how your research might contribute towards solving real-world problems? Are you interested in honing your project management and leadership skills? Do you want to become a more effective communicator with your colleagues\, research group\, and PI?   \nPHDL 7600 Leading Self and Others teaches the foundational elements of teamwork and professional skills that will help you navigate your research groups\, your dissertation\, and your career ahead. According to students who have taken the course\, they appreciated “being in an environment with other PhD students from diverse disciplines” learning how to communicate effectively\, build professional relationships\, and break down and manage research projects. For the Fall 2023 semester\, it is being offered as a hybrid course offered on Tuesdays\, 11:40 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. and Wednesdays\, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. \nPlease joins us on Thursday\, August 17 at 12:00 noon if you are interested in learning more about PHDL 7600 Leading Self and Others and the LEADERs program.
