New Family Care Resource for Full Time Graduate Students

We have been continuously progressive in working with the Graduate Student Government and university leadership to find ways to improve the graduate student experience and enhance the student experience for all.  Caring for your family while you are in graduate school can often be a challenge.

Sometimes you need additional support, even at a moment’s notice – be it for after-school care, aging parents or a child who is home ill.  To help alleviate life’s unexpected challenges, we are excited to share with you a new support we have identified for a productive study/life balance for our students.

Effective today, July 26th, 2017, Northeastern University will be offering to full time graduate students. is a family care service that can help you find caregivers for your whole family, including your child, parents, grandparents or pet.  Full time graduate students will benefit from free membership to, which is an annual membership value of $147.  Included in this opportunity is Backup Care — temporary care for your children and adults when their regular caregiving arrangements are not available.  This care is highly subsidized by the university and requires only a small co-pay from you when you choose to use Backup Care.
