Ada Lovelace Fellowship
Microsoft Corporation invites nominations for the Ada Lovelace fellowship. This aims to increase the pipeline of diverse talent receiving advanced degrees in computing-related fields by providing a research funding opportunity for doctoral students from groups underrepresented in computing.
Limited submission: A maximum of three applicants per department, per university, will be accepted.

Applicants must attend a university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico and be in their second year of a PhD program. The proposed research must be closely related to the research topics carried out by Microsoft Research. Proposals related to systems and networking and artificial intelligence as well as interdisciplinary extensions to them are particularly encouraged. Applicants must self-identify with an underrepresented group in computing, which may include women, African-Americans, Latinos, American Indians, Alaskan Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, people with disabilities, or LGBTQ.
Applicants must be nominated by their universities, and their nominations must be confirmed by the office of the chair of the department.
