Assistant Director of Employer Engagement and Career Design
Develop and deliver comprehensive career services for Northeastern students and alumni, with emphasis on graduate students in PhD, Doctoral and Master’s programs in all the colleges. Provide guidance on career exploration, internship/job acquisition, and career management. Administer and interpret standardized career assessment instruments including TypeFocus, SkillScan, and Strong Interest Inventory.
Responsibilities
Create and deliver seminars, networking events, and programs to meet evolving needs of graduate students with emphasis on both the academic and industry search. Maintain relationships with colleagues within the University, especially the PhD Network, professional fields and employers. Assist in delivery of all departmental services, such as workshops, networking events, Career Studio, etc. Monitor trends in order to help shape priorities for the development of new programs and services, as well as employer partnerships. Maintain knowledge of career resources especially for graduate students.
Master’s degree required, 3-5 years of experience in career development or related field.
Excellent counseling, teaching, event management skills, and experience working with diverse cultures is important.
Experience in delivering programs with technology.
One evening per week required.
