Collaboration Series: Institutional Partnerships

  • Organizer: PhD Network
  • Venue: 370 Dodge Hall

RSVP

Tackling real-world problems requires alliances across disciplines, institutions, and sectors. How to coordinate industry, universities, nonprofits, and governments – collaboration in which traditional organizational lines no longer apply – has become the challenge of innovation and development. This series is designed to explore the pathways by which collaborators build cross-functional teams and make the most of concerted efforts.

On March 25th we welcome Kelsey Louie, CEO of the Gay Men’s Health Crisis in New York City, the world’s first, and the nation’s leading provider of HIV/AIDS care, prevention services, and advocacy. Kelsey’s experience working with nonprofits and government task forces as well as serving on the Board of the National Minority AIDS Council and the Network of Social Work Management and iHealth, in addition to such community initiatives as Big Apple Performing Arts makes him an expert on collaboration with organizations large and small, measuring the local impact of generalized policies, and conceptualizing the big picture.
