CV to Resume Workshop for Humanists and Social Scientists

  • Organizer: Department of English
  • Venue: Virtual – Zoom

RSVP

The academic CV is a record of all of your accomplishments and achievements within academe-- but the resume is a very different document. In this workshop, learn key differences between the CV and the resume, and how to re-articulate your advanced training as relevant work experience while practicing the fundamentals of persuasive resume writing. This workshop will focus on careers outside of the academy and "alt-ac" positions for humanists and social scientists, and will be useful for all those considering versatile applications of your PhD in areas like consulting, non-profits, advocacy, government, industry, policy, and more.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Department of English, the PhD Network and Employer Engagement and Career Design and will be especially useful for CSSH PhDs and postdocs.

Please click the red button above to RSVP; and please register through ZOOM.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
