Submitting your manuscript to a peer-reviewed journal is a daunting task for any early-career researcher. There are many factors to consider and questions to ask yourself, like: How do I choose the right journal? What maximizes my chances of getting accepted? And what's happening during "peer review" anyway?
Elsevier and the Boston Postdoctoral Association will host a workshop to answer all your questions about submitting your paper to peer-reviewed journals. We'll discuss:
- Preparing your paper for submission: best practices & common pitfalls
- Identifying target journals & avoiding predatory publishers
- How to write a strong cover letter
- All about peer review
- Graphical abstracts & getting your paper noticed
