Inclusion and Diversity Series: Fostering Inclusivity With Interactive Lecture Techniques
- Organizer: CATLR
- Venue: Virtual
Interactive lecturing is the process of combining engaging presentations with active learning methods to achieve learning goals. Educators embed a well-planned presentation within a sequence of activities that helps learners understand, apply, and retain new ideas and skills. In so doing, educators create conditions that empower students to take greater responsibility for their own learning. In this workshop, you will learn interactive lecture techniques that are particularly suited for fostering inclusivity. You will leave prepared to apply these techniques in your own course or context.
For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Diversity and Inclusive Teaching” or “Assignments, Assessment and Active Learning” requirements.
This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
