Job Search Series: Introduction to science policy – panel discussion

Dr. Naomi Webber; Senior Principal, Lewis-Burke Associates, Washington, D.C. What is science policy? How does the federal government impact scientific discovery, and why should the scientific community care about what happens in Washington, DC? Students will learn about the federal government’s role in science, with a particular focus on funding, regulations, and current topics of debate. The class will also discuss the range of science policy careers and the skills one might need to pursue a job in science policy.
