Teaching Series: Increasing Engagement in Any Class Size With Team-Based Learning
- Organizer: CATLR
- Venue: 215 Snell Library
In this workshop, you will experience Team-Based Learning (TBL), an instructional strategy that both teachers and students have reported increasing levels of student attendance, preparation, participation, and critical thinking. This approach solves most of the traditional problems with group work, has enjoyed increasing adoption across disciplines, and leverages many practices recognized for their inclusive nature.
Note: To best replicate an on-ground, non-socially distanced classroom, this workshop will be held in person without social distancing. If you need or prefer to connect virtually or one-on-one with a CATLR consultant, please reach out to us by email ([email protected]) or phone (+1.617.373.3157). You can also explore our web resources on Team-Based Learning.
For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Assessments, Assignments, and Active Learning" or “Course and Syllabus Design” requirement.
This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
