LEADERs Opportunity:  

Attribute Sciences (AS) is a part of Amgen’s Process Development organization and works with a wide range of processes, from molecule selection to commercial production. This project will collaborate with AS staff to use the latest Ai and data science techniques in AS business processing to help make our common activities more efficient.

This project will create tools that use Amgen’s large data ecosystem to enable non-expert users to apply Ai in their daily workflows. One example tool would use clustering to find common training given to AS staff and find optimal grouping to reduce training time and increase cross-functional alignment for all AS staff. Another example tool would use LLMs to find similar procedures and guidelines to eliminate redundant documentation.

Academic disciplines considered: Data Science, Computer Science

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Required: The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a background in data sciences or computer science.

Competencies Preferred / Required: The candidate will need to have some programing skills (for example, in Python, R, Scala, or another language).  Knowing SQL will also help the candidate, and it is great if the candidate has worked with teams from different functions before.
