LEADERs Opportunity: We are looking for a computational biologist to focus on the analysis and interpretation of omics data for the development of immuno-oncology therapeutics. The role is to develop and execute analytical pipelines for spatial transcriptomics data and perform integrative analysis with RNA-sequencing and multiplexed immunofluorescence imaging. The student will work with a cross-functional program team to learn project management and provide recommended practices in multi–omics data analysis for future studies.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Needed:
- The ideal candidate exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills; he or she also possesses the ability to work well in teams, effectively manage multiple projects, and present ideas clearly and concisely
- Experience with Unix/Linux, command-line interfaces, and proficiency in scripting and/or programming language (e.g., R, Python, Perl, Java, C / C++)
- Familiarity with fundamentals of biology and bioinformatics – particularly high content sequencing data analysis
- Prior experience with cancer molecular databases is preferred but not required
