The PhD Network at Northeastern University has teamed up with the Right Question Institute to offer the upcoming working conference “Untapping the Power of Questions: Strengthening the Practice and Culture of Question Formulation in Higher Education.”
How might higher education and research be improved by deliberately developing the ability to ask better questions?
The discrete skill of formulating questions is foundational for learning and research, yet it is rarely taught to students and its importance is often overlooked.
This NSF-sponsored virtual event is aimed to faculty, staff, students, and postdocs in STEM-M fields who are interested on exploring the power of questions to improve learning and foster transformative research, and/or to promote a culture of better question formulation in programs, departments, and institutions.
The conference will take place during two half-days on September 17 and September 24, 12 – 4 pm EDT. Registration is free of cost, and it can be done individually or as part of a team. Interested individuals should submit a nomination form, followed by a short application form to ensure their spot. For more information consult our website: Untapping the Power of Questions
