Proposals are evaluated for relevance and scientific merit and against information needs identified by the Research Themes under which they are submitted.

• Systems
• Genetic Control

Proposals that do not directly fit into a theme can be submitted under Non-theme Research. Proposals are encouraged to be cross-cutting and address multiple themes or integrate multiple disciplines
