MIT Communication Lab and Open Education Administrator
The MIT Communication Lab and Dept. of Aeronautics & Astronautics is hiring for a combination position: AeroAstro Comm Lab Administrator + Open Education (with the second 50% helping the department launch online education efforts). Hiring range (grade 8): $69,100-91,580
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related discipline; four years’ experience in a STEM field, communications, and/or education; experience with educational design of resources like workshops and rubrics; excellent interpersonal, project management, and technical and academic communication (oral, written, and visual design) skills; team-orientation; and keen attention to detail. Must be able to problem solve strategically and analyze data to inform decision-making; manage multiple long-term deadlines simultaneously; create connections between people and organizations to optimize student support and departmental goals; receive and give constructive feedback; and interact effectively with a diverse group of faculty/students/staff.
PREFERRED: advanced degree in aerospace engineering or related discipline; experience in educational innovation and/or online learning; ability to produce technical content (e.g., published scientific manuscripts); supervisory experience with student workers; and MIT experience.
