Post Doc Opportunity with Army Research Labs
Army Research Labs is seeking postdoctoral candidates to work on the development and understanding of hybrid human-machine-intelligence. This broadly defined project seeks to perform foundational research to enable future technologies that combine both human and artificial intelligence to accelerate the speed of decisions, rapidly adapt to changing contexts, and navigate through creative solutions to complex problems. In this work, we anticipate to leverage and combine knowledge from fields including (but not limited to) neuroscience, artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistics, and physics. Interdisciplinary researchers with background in more than one of these fields will be given priority. Required qualifications include a PhD in computer science, neuroscience, physics or a related field, and a demonstrated record of research in topics that include human-machine interaction, human-computer interaction, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, cognitive science or psychology. We are looking for applicants with an aptitude for interdisciplinary research and a willingness to work in an environment that crosses disciplinary boundaries. Salary $85K+, depending on experience and location (San Francisco, CA preferred).
