University of California, San Francisco – Center for Tobacco Control Research & Education – Postdoctoral Fellowships
This Postdoctoral Fellowship offers diverse educational and research opportunities, including a grant writing seminar, graduate research positions, advocacy training, and individualized documents training. The Center’s work spans policy and historical research, economics, and science. Fellows are recruited from a variety of fields including the basic sciences, social sciences, public health practitioners, clinical fields, political science, history, economics, law, and marketing. The Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education directs a postdoctoral fellowship program that offers supervised research experience in tobacco control with members of the Center faculty. Each trainee meets regularly with a faculty mentor regarding research progress and career or professional issues. Stipends range from $48,000 – $58,000, depending on years of postdoctoral experience. The deadline for applying for fellowships beginning July 1, 2018, is January 25, 2018.

- Applicant must have completed their Ph.D., D.N.P., Dr.Ph., M.D., PharmD, or other doctoral level degree by July 1, 2018.
- Applicant must a strong interest in tobacco control; however, lack of extensive background in tobacco control will not disqualify a candidate.
- Preference is given to applicants who have not completed another postdoctoral fellowship program and/or have not held a faculty position.
- Preference is given to applicants who have finished their doctoral degree within the last three years.
- Non-U.S. citizens are eligible.
