Project-Based Teaching Scholars

Funding Opportunities for PhD Students

PhD students are eligible to apply for the “Project-Based Teaching Scholars” program, which will provide fellowship funding to selected PhD students for the Full Summer 2021 term. Students who are selected to receive this honor will receive training in basic teaching techniques as well as project-based learning pedagogy, and have the opportunity to earn a badge in “Project-Based Teaching.” These Project-based Teaching Scholars will also be instructors of record for a project course, guided by a faculty mentor. These courses, all versions of INPR 1500 Special Project Courses, are part of the NU Start program, an online, asynchronous curriculum for first-year students. These efforts are aligned with our focus to ensure that these first-year students receive a high-quality learning experience based on disciplinary projects that seek to integrate knowledge in an applied setting.
