Remote Access

Dear students and faculty,

To support classes moving online, student access to lab and classroom software has been enhanced to allow learning and work to continue remotely. Commonly used software packages, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, MATLAB, Stata, and other applications are now more easily accessible and available virtually. Information on how to access these resources from a distance can be found below.

Adobe Creative Cloud

At-home access to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite is now available to all Northeastern students until May 31, 2020. Follow the instructions to access and download the Creative Cloud desktop apps on personal devices.

In addition, for students to continue developing skills, Adobe is offering free “Daily Creative Challenges” for Photoshop, XD, and Illustrator. Adobe has also curated resources for faculty to help with discovering inspiring projects, best practices, and new ideas so they can continue to drive valuable learning in virtual environments.

Virtual Computer Labs

Students can now access a virtual lab computer from anywhere through Northeastern’s Windows virtual desktop. Available through a web browser on both Windows and MacOS-based devices, the virtual desktop comes pre-loaded with common software typically available in labs and classrooms, including MATLAB, RStudio, SPSS, Stata, ArcGIS, Autocad, and more. Sign in to the virtual desktop using your Northeastern Microsoft login to get started.
